Story about restoring a 1958 RENAULT 4CV

In 1995 I spotted a RENAULT 4 CV

It took me five years to restore the car to how it looks now , as seen above

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The car is from year 1958 and has always been driven in and around the French city of Chatheauroux some two hours drive south of Paris.

When i found the car at a local Garage it was in a very poor state.

Enginecompartment was completely empty (no engine) and the gearbox had wornout bearings .

 

On this Video You can see where i found this 4cv in Chateauroux in 1995.

ON THE WAY FROM SOUTHHAMPTON BACK TO THE NERHERLANDS WE PASSED THROUGH THE HART OF LONDONCITY AS SEEN ON THIS PICTURE CLOSE TO THE BIG BEN.
